Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital Organizes A Workshop At Aryans

A week long celebrations for International Nurses Day started at Aryans Institute of Nursing 


One day seminar cum demonstration on Infection Prevention & Control Education Program was organized by Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh in association with Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Mullanpur, Mohali at Aryans Campus. Ms Sneha, Infection Control Nurse, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital was the Chief Guest. S. Jeen Mexima, Principal, Silver Oaks College of Nursing, Mohali & Ms Rajinder Kaur, Principal, Sri Guru Harkishan Sahib College of Nursing, Mohali were Guests of Honour. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over.


Ms Sneha  elaborated that Infection prevention and control (IPC) is an applied discipline that affects all patient care activities in healthcare settings. IPC, including prevention of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), is an essential component of healthcare quality and patient safety. Infection Prevention & Control  is a practical sub-discipline of epidemiology that's relevant to every health worker and patient at every healthcare interaction.

Jeen Mexima & Rajinder Kaur mentioned that Infection prevention and control (IPC) is a scientific approach that aims to prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and reduce the risk of microorganisms spreading to patients, health workers, and visitors. IPC is based on principles of epidemiology, infectious disease, social science, and health system strengthening.

Mrs Nidhi Chopra, Principal;Mrs Kamlesh Rani Vice Principal, Aakriti Chauhan, Deeksha, Umar, Masroof, Mohsin, etc. were present.This seminar was attended by Aryans Nursing students including B. Sc. Nursing, GNM & ANM.

Cardiologist from Mohali interacted with Aryans Students   On the occasion of World Heart Day, to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura,  Near Chandigarh organized a seminar on this year theme "Use Heart to connect". Dr. Karandeep S Syal Senior Consultant, Cardiology, My Hospital, Mohali interacted with faculty members & the Aryans students of   Nursing , Pharma, Physiotherapy, Anesthesia, Medical Lab Sciences, Radiology, Operation Theatre Technology etc. On the occasion speech competition & poster presentation was also organised.
